One of the main challenges faced by the Mobile Operators is finding the balance between business objectives and good network performance. Mobile Operators are having difficulties in understanding the networks they are deploying because most of the deployment work is done by the equipment vendors, with problems appearing during post deployment optimization and expansion during the lifecycle of the network. They are forced to consult for expert advice at a cost for network optimization and controlled expansion. System performance evaluation is still using traditional KPIs(Key Performance Indicators) with little regard for QoE(Quality of Experience) of the users, measured by KQI (Key Quality Indicators). There are cases when even though network KPIs indicate good network performance, the Mobile Operator still faces user complaints about slow internet or bad quality for the voice calls. Mobile Operators must focus on end users’ QOE in order to increase revenue yet challenges still remain.
